INTRA
Research concerning the future of Chatham Intra led by the
School of Architecture Design and Planning, University of Kent
In association with Medway Council and Historic England
I'm interested in Interior Design, Parametric Design and Extended Reality.
I am also interested in the vernacular architecture of a place. Studying it’s history and how the people have lived and interacted with their surroundings both in the present and past. Architecture for me is about designing a feeling of comfort and ownership for people and is a rich aspect of culture and should be celebrated.
The Narrative of the Chapel as a place for refuge guided my Final Year Thesis, The Intra Retreat. In Chatham, the closure of the Naval Dockyard resulted in a lot of people losing their security which is what a lot of us try to secure in our daily grind which is the Rat Race. My proposal deals with a conscious goal of bringing us back to what is important, care of Body, Mind and Soul.
